Twitter suspends a user: According to a screenshot, a user commented on a video of a drag parade in NYC, “This behavior is hurting so much the gay community. These people are deviant pedophiles that are taking advantage of “pride” festivities to openly show what they are really about. Why parents? No need to put kids through that. Next generation of mentally ill folks.” Twitter locked the user’s account and required the user delete the tweet. Per the screenshot, Twitter claimed the user was “violating our rules against hateful conduct.” The warning continued, “You may not promote violence against, threaten, or harass other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease.” The warning is based on Twitter’s hateful conduct policy.
