X censors user's post calling for the death penalty for a murderer: An X user shared a screenshot of his censorship notice. The user had posted "They deserve justice and that pos deserves the firing squad in record time! We know it was him we have more evidence than we've had in a long time for a case this big and we don't need some jackasses making up bs for views and podcast." This comment was in reference to Charlie Kirk's assassination. The user's account was locked and the comment was removed with X citing its "rules against violent speech," despite the fact that the death penalty is a valid form of criminal punishment in many states in the country and at least one state provides the option for a firing squad.
