Satoshi Omura

YouTube deletes video of interview conducted and uploaded to the platform by a Nobel Prize winning biochemist: YouTube deleted a video uploaded by Nobel Prize winning biochemist Dr. Satoshi Ōmura of his interview with Japanese politician Katsuhito Nakajima. When translated, a tweet from Dr. Ōmura, which contained the link to his YouTube video, read: "Dr. Satoshi Omura x Katsuhito Nakajima Dialogue Part 1 'Japanese EUA Development Bill' 'Ivermectin is a Son'." Per its policy, YouTube has been censoring any content contradicting opinions that the only viable way to treat COVID-19 is with a vaccine. Neither YouTube itself, nor Dr. Ōmura, has indicated which specific policy the platform believed he violated. When the link to Dr. Ōmura's video is clicked on, users are blocked from watching it by a notice that reads: "This video has been removed for violating YouTube's Community Guidelines." Ōmura was part of the team that developed Ivermectin in the 1970s as an anti-parasitic.
