Rush Limbaugh

Facebook throttles Rush Limbaugh's page: In what conservative icon Rush Limbaugh described as a "badge of honor," Facebook reduced his distribution and enacted "other restrictions." Limbaugh reported that he shared two stories about the Capitol protests. The first was a Washington Examiner piece that reported that facial recognition software had been used to identify some of the Capitol protestors as members of Antifa. He then also shared a piece by The Hill that refuted that claim. Despite the fact that he acknowledged The Hill's story, and that Facebook put a Fact Check warning on the post about the Washington Examiner post, Facebook throttled his page. The official notice, which he shared, said: "Your Page has reduced distribution and other restrictions because of repeated sharing of false news. People will also be able to see if a Page has a history of sharing false news."
