Twitter locked user's account after he claimed that sex transitioning for children is child abuse: Twitter locked a user's account when he reacted to a Pantene commercial featuring the story of a transgender child. The user tweeted "How do you think God will end this abomination of child abuse and human perversion? This can't go on for much longer. I'm putting my bets on a series of unexpected and massive natural disasters." Twitter claimed the user violated its "rules against hateful conduct" which forbids threats or harassment based on "gender or gender identity." The platform locked the user's account for 12 hours. Locked accounts can typically use direct messages and browse the platform but cannot tweet, retweet, like other tweets or follow new accounts.
