Moderators of at least nine different subreddits are banning users for participating in a separate subreddit: Six users of the subreddit r/DeclineIntoCensorship have reported being permanently banned from subreddits for participating in the subreddit r/NoNewNormal. The so-called problematic subreddit allows users to freely discuss differing opinions on the COVID-19 vaccine, masking, lockdowns etc. According to user-generated screenshots, moderators of r/aww, r/JusticeServed, r/tacobell, r/MadeMeSmile, r/Eyebleach, r/tifu, r/TIHI, r/madlads and r/HolUp sent each user the same message: "You have been banned for participating in r/nonewnormal, which is known for being a disease vector to other subreddits and society. Responding to this message with anything other than a promise to avoid those subreddits will be ignored and is consent for us to mute you."
