Reddit moderators remove question about historical event in history subreddit: A Reddit user posed a question in the r/AskHistorians subreddit about the fall of the Roman Empire. The question was "Which moment in Roman history was the first event that directly contributed to the empires ultimate collapse? In other words which event was the beginning of the end?" According to a screenshot shared by X account Reddit Lies, a moderator removed the post, saying "This submission has been removed because it involves current events. To keep from discussion of politics, we have a 20-year rule here. You may want to try r/ask_politics, r/NeutralPolitics, or another current-events focused sub." It is unclear why a question about the Roman Empire was interpreted to violate a rule that events from the last 20 years cannot be discussed in this subreddit.
