Twitter user gets a permanent ban for profile header image showing her holding a gun: A Twitter user explained that her account had been permanently banned. She shared a screenshot of the notification, which claimed that her profile header image contained hateful imagery. This image showed the user in focus against an American flag backdrop, holding a gun pointing at the camera which is in the very near foreground and is very blurry. The user also shared screenshots of what Twitter's policy states on what is considered hateful imagery, and claims that none of the terms of service were violated. The hateful imagery description does not include any reference to simply an image of a user holding a gun. User also says she appealed the decision and no response was received.
