President Joe Biden

Twitter community adds a context note to Joe Biden’s tweet: President Joe Biden tweeted, “We’ve added more jobs to the U.S. economy in 28 months than any president has in a four-year term.” The tweet also included a graphic comparing job creation under presidents Reagan through Biden. Twitter added a warning label to the post. The header of the label says, “Readers added context they thought people might want to know.” The label continues, “Many sources have pointed out that the historic job gains under Biden are largely attributable to the the timing of when Biden took office in relation to the end of the pandemic recession. They also count per job not per person, 6% of Americans now work 2+ jobs.” The context note also includes links to several news articles from Politifact, CNN, AP News, and the Wall Street Journal.
