Penny Nance

Twitter locks Penny Nance's account for calling Lia Thomas a man: Penny Nance, CEO and President of Concerned Women for America, tweeted about transgender-identifying swimmer, Lia Thomas. "Another woman displaced by a man" she said, along with a Blaze Media headline that read "Swimmer who tied Lia Thomas says Officials cheated her on podium: 'We just want Lia to hold the fifth-place trophy,'" according a screenshot she posted on Instagram. It's not completely clear from the screenshot whether she posted a link to the Blaze Media article along with her tweet. The screenshot also showed that Twitter locked her account for "violating [its] rules against hateful conduct," which prohibits users from "promot[ing] violence against, threaten[ing], or harass[ing] other people on the basis of ... gender [or] gender identity." Concerned Women for America is a member of the Media Research Center's Free Speech Alliance.
