Newt Gingrich spontaneously suspended from Twitter for unknown reason: Former Republican Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich told Maria Bartiromo on Fox's "Mornings with Maria" that Twitter has suspended him for authoring a tweet that said allowing illegal immigrants to cross the border without any controls in place is a public health issue in the midst of the pandemic. Gingrich indicated that Twitter had not provided him with an explanation of the specific policy his tweet had violated and that he has submitted an appeal requesting one. "Who put these companies in charge of being the arbiter of truth?" Bartiromo asked during her segment with Gingrich. "What you tweeted is absolutely true. We had a COVID threat because of all of those people who had COVID who came into the country illegally. So, what's untrue about what you said?"
