The story was based on a since-deleted Twitter thread published by the boy's aunt, Tami Burages. According to the outlet, the article was tweeted with the caption, "A 13-year-old boy is dead after taking the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine, and his aunt, who is very pro-vaccine, is demanding an investigation from the CDC." The screenshot provided by the site shows that Twitter flagged the tweet for "[v]iolating the policy on spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19" and forced the outlet to delete its tweet. National File claimed that Twitter restricted and locked its account for 12 hours, preventing it from publishing "Tweets, Retweets, Fleets, follows or likes." A Twitter spokesperson later claimed the account lock was locked "in error,"  reported National File.
