YouTube suspends conspiracy debunker for 'advancing false claims' about the election: Mick West is a British-American science writer who investigates and debunks pseudoscientific claims and conspiracy theories such as chemtrails and UFOs. In an episode of his podcast which he uploaded to YouTube, West brought on a so-called "follower" of the QAnon conspiracy to debate and debunk his theories about election fraud. Nonetheless, YouTube gave West a community guideline strike for "advancing false claims" about the election, which resulted in a seven day suspension for West who cannot upload, post or live stream on the platform for seven days. "I debunk false theories about election fraud. I had a QAnon follower on my podcast and I explain to him why his claims of election fraud are wrong," West said in a tweet. "YouTubes flags it as "advancing false claims" about the election, deletes it, blocks me for a week!"
