TikTok removes the Media Research Center’s video: TikTok, the social media site connected with the Communist Chinese government, deleted one of the Media Research Center’s videos from its platform. In the video, MRCTV personality Tierin-Rose Mandelburg reacted to a compilation of left-wing TikTok videos, which promoted transgenderism, the furry movement, and virulent anti-Christian rhetoric. According to screenshots of the incident, TikTok cited “abusive behavior” as its justification for removing MRC’s reaction video. TikTok’s Community Guidelines prohibit “expressions of abuse, including threats or degrading statements.” However, MRC made no threats of violence or harm against the people in the video. Furthermore, the TikTok guidelines also say, “To enable expression about matters of public interest, critical comments of public figures may be allowed.” MRC appealed the removal, and TikTok restored the video.
