Twitter locks Marina Medvin’s account: According to Jack Posobiec, the editor-in-chief of Human Events, Twitter locked the account of criminal defense attorney Marina Medvin. Posobiec tweeted, “BREAKING: Twitter has locked J6 defendants lawyer @MarinaMedvin[.] The space where the reason for why she was locked is blank.” Posobiec also included purported screenshots of Medvin’s account and Twitter’s response to her. According to the screenshots, Twitter told Medvin, “We have determined that you have violated the Twitter Rules, so you’ll need to wait some time before using Twitter again.” The ban was initially set to 12 hours. Furthermore, Twitter’s email to Medvin said her account had been “violating the Twitter Rules,” but gave no specific reason why the account was locked.
The following day, Posobiec tweeted more purported screenshots of Twitter’s continued response to Medvin. Twitter allegedly emailed Medvin to say that her account was restored: “Our support team has reviewed your account and it appears we made an error. We’ve determined no violation and have restored your account to full functionality.” However, prior to her reinstatement, Twitter had sent a message suggesting Medvin delete two of her appealed tweets, which discussed a terrorist at a Texas synagogue. Per the screenshot, the message said, “Please note that while we review your appeal, you won’t be able to access your Twitter account. We’ll take a look and will respond as soon as possible. If you’d rather just delete the content, you can.” At the time of writing, Medvin’s account had been restored.
