Marianne Williamson

X community adds a context note to Marianne Williamson post: The X account for Democrat presidential candidate Marianne Williamson posted a response to Rep. Mo Khanna's post about the economy under President Biden, saying "'Acknowledge that people still have legitimate frustration and anger because the economy is not working for them?' - 39% of Americans are regularly skipping meals in order to pay their rent, Congressman. Millions are selling their blood plasma in order to survive. This is more than 'an economy not working for them.' The Dems won't win just by acknowledging their pain. We'll win only by proposing what we're going to do about their pain, not by trying to convince or gaslight people into thinking it's not as bad as they think it is." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. 39% of Americans can't skip meals to pay their rent because only 36% of American household are renters to begin with. pewresearch.org/short-reads/20…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system.
