Twitter suspends comedian Lee Hurst over response to video showing England's chief medical officer being harassed: In response to a video of Prof. Chris Witty, England's chief medical officer, being harassed by two young men, comedian Lee Hurst, who has been outspoken against the government's COVID-19 restrictions, tweeted, "Whatever has happened to Chris Whitty is not enough." Twitter reportedly suspended Hurst's account for the tweet, according to Yahoo News. The platform's rules around hateful conduct state: "You may not promote violence against, threaten, or harass other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease." Subsequently, Twitter reversed Lee's suspension, according to Yahoo.
