Instagram deletes Kaitlin Bennett's popular graduation photo that gave her the nickname Kent State Gun Girl: Kaitlin Bennett is a conservative social media personality who gained popularity online after she posted her graduation photos to social media which showed her in a cap and gown while donning a long rifle around her shoulder. Bennett's popularized photo shoot gave her the nickname Kent State Gun Girl and led to her starting her own social media channel dedicated to political commentary called Liberty Hangout. Instagram deleted Bennett's popularized photo even though it had been posted almost three years ago, according to the Gateway Pundit. "We removed your post because it goes against our Community Guidelines on violence and incitement," Instagram said in a notice to Bennett. "If you post something that goes against our guidelines again, your account may be deleted, including your posts, archive, messages and followers." Instagram went on to say in the notice that it does not allow "content that may lead to a genuine risk to physical harm or direct threat to public safety." Bennet told the Gateway Pundit that Instagram should call the cops if it thinks she is making direct threats to public safety. "They’re not just taking down a post that they say goes against community standards. They’re accusing me of committing a crime,” Bennett added when speaking to the Gateway Pundit. “Ironically they are perfectly okay with letting thousands of liberals use their platform to make direct threats against me all the time.”
