Data expert suspended from Facebook for three days after posting graphic 'rigorously backed by serious studies and data' about child mask wearing: Data expert Justin Hart said that Facebook gave his account a 3-day suspension from posting new content and commenting on others' content for "posting an infographic backed by rigorous science" about child mask wearing. Facebook reportedly stated that the infographic violated its "standards on misinformation that could cause physical harm." According to a separate post from Hart, each section of the graphic "had footnotes to specific studies and articles denoting the low risk that children face towards COVID and the lack of data supporting masking kids." In that post, he linked to the studies denoted in the taken down graphic and provided some excerpts from them to see if Facebook would take it down. The post remained up and visible at the time of this entry's publication.
