Instagram censors iconic image of in-utero baby holding surgeon's finger: Just Facts, an organization dedicated to producing rigorously researched and documented information about various public policy issues, posted an iconic photo on Instagram that a Democratic Representative had recently rejected from being shown in a Congressional hearing that she was chairing on abortion. The 1999 image shows a 21 week-old prenatal baby holding a surgeon's finger from inside the womb after a spina bifida surgery had just been performed on him in-utero. Instagram placed a sensitive content filter over the image, requiring users to click a small link in order to view the image.
