Twitter's flawed algorithm censored user for comment about how to practice football: A Twitter user shared a screenshot of his censorship notice. He was responding to another user's tweet that read "is it possible to practice being bulrushes by Aaron Donald?" referring to the defensive NFL player on the Los Angeles Rams. The user responded, "Sure there is. Go stand in front of a car driving at you." Twitter's flawed algorithm found that this tweet violated its rules against "promoting or encouraging suicide or self-harm." The user was required to delete the tweet in order to unlock his account. He also stated that his account was placed in a read-only restricted mode for 12 hours, though this was not reflected on the screenshot.
