Facebook restricts a user: A user posted a meme which said, “June is groomer awareness month. Protect your children from perverts.” Facebook deleted the post. Per screenshots, Facebook also restricted the user’s group activity for 24 hours, explaining, “Your previous group activity didn’t follow our Community Standards so you can’t do things like create, invite, post and comment in groups.” Facebook’s Community Standards are meant to “create a place for expression and give people a voice,” while also keeping the platform “a safe place.” Examples of prohibited material are “violent and graphic content,” “spam,” “adult nudity,” and “fraud.” Facebook did not specify what specific content in the post violated its policies.
