Twitter censors user for tweet about transgenderism: A Twitter user shared a screenshot of their censorship notice. The user tweeted "as trans are autistic (only 2% of kids have autism) & most have multiple comorbidities like mental illness, a history of abuse or live in foster care. That's why we care that the # of kids - mostly girls - who ID as trans has skyrocketed in a decade. Bc they're being hurt. (5/5)" Twitter claimed this violated its “rules against hateful conduct.” The user’s account was locked until they deleted the tweet. The user explained that the beginning of the sentence contained in her tweet read "Up to 40% of children who identify as trans are autistic and..." She also claimed that in a previous tweet in the five tweet thread, she posted a link to a source for the statistic that she used. Despite this, Twitter censored the tweet in question.
