Election Interference? Press Account for Senate Candidate JD Vance SCOURED from Twitter

UPDATE: The press account is now back online, but claimed in a tweet that "This account is back online after being SHUT DOWN by Twitter with zero warning or explanation."

Twitter reportedly suspended the campaign press account belonging to Hillbilly Elegy author and Ohio Senate candidate J.D. Vance (R).

Big Tech appears to be interfering in yet another election. “Why did ⁦@Twitter⁩ / ⁦@jack⁩ suspend my campaign’s press account?” Vance asked in a September 7 tweet along with a screenshot of his suspended account. Vance followed up by announcing to his Twitter followers that there had been “No warning” and “No explanation of what rules I allegedly broke.” He then warned: “[T]his is what happens when we allow five companies to control what we’re allowed to say.”

Twitter has not yet responded to an inquiry from MRC Free Speech America to confirm or explain the suspension. Twitter also was one of many Big Tech companies to censor and then ban then-President Donald Trump during the course of his presidency.  Trump was censored by Twitter no less than 625 times

Vance has criticized Big Tech’s stranglehold on American dialogue before. During a July 7 interview on Fox News PrimeTime, he noted that Big Tech “effectively control[s] the flow of information in our society” and how “you cannot speak your mind as a conservative without fear of being censored by Facebook, Twitter, Apple, whoever else.”

He responded to the announcement of an alliance between the far-left Anti-Defamation League and PayPal by proclaiming:

"If your 'conservatism' isn’t about fighting the power of these companies, it’s totally useless.

Yes, I like the brave people of Cuba, too. God bless them. But we need to worry about creeping oligarchy in our own country first."

Big Tech has meddled in American elections before.

A shocking revelation released by the New York Post on October 14, 2020, cited purported emails from then-Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden’s son Hunter. The news outlet reportedly exposed the alleged scandalous business dealings of both father and son in Ukraine.

Twitter followed Facebook’s lead and disabled links to the story in October, mere weeks before the election. The media blackout on the Hunter Biden scandal was a political game changer with dire implications. A post-election poll from the Media Research Center, conducted by McLaughlin & Associates, showed that 36 percent of Biden voters were NOT aware of the evidence linking Joe Biden to potential corrupt financial dealings with China through his son Hunter. Thirteen percent of these voters (or 4.6 percent of Biden’s total vote) said that had they known these facts, they would not have voted for him.
