Jason Perlow

Liberal journalist unhappy Facebook censored him for quoting the movie Dune while they allow "dangerous" "COVID and vaccine misinformation" to proliferate: Liberal ZDNet Senior Tech Editor Jason Perlow threw a tantrum over his Facebook censorship. He was reportedly responding to someone who gloated about getting an early preview of the upcoming remake of the movie Dune. In a jealous pique, he quoted Sting's character from the original Dune movie, Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, by telling his friend, "I -WILL- kill you." While Perlow did not share exactly why Facebook suspended him 3 days for this, he hinted at it when he wrote, "Quoting movies doesn't hurt or result in the death of anyone. But do you know what does? Spreading misinformation about vaccines and COVID-19. That absolutely will kill people." While clearly Facebook's AI overreached by suspending Perlow over this movie quote, why is he surprised at being hit by rampant censorship when he himself is advocating censorship? Quoting from heavily biased sources like NewsGuard as he did in his piece about his incident does not make a good case for the abridgment of free speech. If Perlow does not want to be censored, maybe stop promoting censorship.
