Twitter censors user for tweeting about Ivermectin: According to a screenshot shared by her brother, a Twitter user's account was locked until she deleted a tweet about Ivermectin. The offending tweet linked to another tweet pointing out the clear conflicts of interest listed at the end of an article from the Journal of the American Medical Association. That article claimed that Ivermectin produced only mild improvements in COVID-19 patients, but the author's listed conflicts include many pharmaceutical companies. After re-tweeting this, the user added her own commentary: "Perhaps the conflicts of interests should be stated up front or perhaps others without conflicts should have carried out the trial!...#ivermectinworks #IvermectinSavesLives." Twitter claimed that this tweet violated its "policy on spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19," though the re-tweeted tweet about the JAMA study was not censored.
