X community adds a context note to Jack Posobiec post: Reporter Jack Posobiec posted a response to another user's post that said "The DEI-Klan is so mad that Maryland has a Black Governor, a Black Mayor of Baltimore City. Just wait until they find out we have a Black Speaker of the House of Delegates, 2 Black County Execs and a Black Attorney General. All Elected by the people. Stay mad!" Poso's response read "Baltimore has the highest homicide rate of any major city in America and one of the highest in the whole world." The X community added a note to the post that read: "Readers added context they thought people might want to know. With 64.54 murders per 100,000 residents, St. Louis had the highest murder rate for any major American city in 2019. The murder rate in Baltimore is 58.27 per 100,000. cbsnews.com/amp/pictures/m…" The label is part of X’s Community Notes system. X users are able to sign up as contributors to add context to posts. X owner Elon Musk shared that any post with a Community Note added to it will be demonetized. The Community Notes account on X also posted that notices will be pushed to users who previously engaged with a post when a Community Note is added to it later.
