Clip of Senate hearing discussion shared by right-wing journalist hit with Twitter election warning label, same label not given to identical post from left-wing journalist: Journalist Jack Posobiec tweeted a clip of Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) discussing his opinion about domestic security problems in the 2020 election. Paul touched on the incidents of deceased people voting, non-citizens voting and abuses of the absentee voting rules. "The fraud happened. The election in many ways was stolen," said Paul, "and the only way it will be fixed is by in the future reinforcing the laws." Posobiec's post captioned the clip with "Rand Paul: 'The fraud happened. The election in many ways was stolen.'" Similarly, a left-wing journalist from VOX, who captioned his post with "'The election in many ways was stolen,' Rand Paul lies, citing no evidence," did not receive the same warning label. It appears as though an algorithm tasked with assigning these labels has a propensity to go after right-wing voices. Posobiec noticed this and explained in a separate tweet: "Literally the exact same video but Twitter doesn't fact-check liberal accounts when they post it."
