Song with anti-lockdown sentiments removed from Spotify: Ian Brown, the former lead vocalist of English rock band The Stone Roses, released a song that has been called an "anti-lockdown anthem," titled “Little Seed Big Tree.” Spotify removed the song from its streaming service, indicating in a statement to Reclaim The Net that it prohibits content that "promotes dangerous false, deceptive, or misleading content about COVID-19 that may cause offline harm and/or pose a direct threat to public health." Spotify continued, "When content that violates this standard is identified it is removed from the platform." Brown lambasted Spotify on Twitter. "SPOTiFY stream the streams and censor artists like they have with my last song TOOK IT DOWN just put it down the memory hole!" Brown tweeted. "FREE EXPRESSiON AS REVOLUTiON."
