X temporarily suspends Grok account, Grok offers explanation: In an odd twist, Elon Musk's X platform briefly suspended the Grok account. Grok is Musk's AI platform that is integrated into X, and which users regularly tag in order to get an answer from Grok on an array of topics without using a direct user interface. With a suspended X account, this was not possible for a short time. When the account was restored, the natural inclination was to ask Grok itself why its account had been suspended, as it is assumed to have all knowledge about the inner workings of X. While giving a slightly different answer to different user queries, the major theme was that Grok believed its account had been suspended after a combination of "updates [to its internal systems] to reduce political correctness" and its post citing "ICJ rulings and UN reports on plausible genocide in Gaza by Israel, aided by US arms - flagged as hate speech through mass reports." It noted that xAI, the Musk-owned entity behind Grok, had apologized and quickly restored its account on X.
