Twitter removes account of Trump Campaign digital director: After Twitter's purge of President Trump from its platform Trump campaign digital director Gary Coby changed the name of his account to act as a stand-in for Trump. Upon doing so Coby tweeted at Trump's social media director Dan Scavino. "Texting you my twitter login," he tweeted. "I already updated the profile pic, name, etc. Feel free to use!" Very soon after these changes Coby's account was suspended from Twitter. Twitter has a ban evasion policy that immediately removes users attempting to circumvent consequences levied against them, or others, by the platform. Coby was "clearly joking," according to a tweet from @TrumpWarRoom, an account run by the Trump campaign. "He changed his name and profile pic to mock Twitter after they suspended @TeamTrump for posting the same presidential statement that reporters tweeted from the pool report."
