Facebook deletes content from Concordia professor Gad Saad and temporarily locks him out of his account before reversing its decision: Gad Saad is an evolutionary biologist and professor at Concordia University. Saad said that on March 23 he was locked out of his Facebook account for posting a screenshot of an email "that had targeted [him] for being JEWISH." Facebook reversed its decision to suspend him the next day, but then removed one of his posts from 2018, citing violations of its community standards around dangerous individuals and organizations. The post included a link to an article about Stephen Lennon aka "Tommy Robinson" when he was arrested outside a UK courthouse during an ongoing trial he felt was not being carried out justly. "Tommy Robinson arrested for 'breaching the peace' outside court during grooming trial," the linked article's headline read. Above the link Saad simply called on his friends and colleagues to support Lennon. "Here is an article that refers to Tommy Robinson's arrest. Calling all people including my influential friends and colleagues to support this man in his hour of need. He is putting his life on the line," said Saad's now-deleted post. "Don't buy into the 'Far-Right' BS," he concluded in the post.
