Twitter locks Evan Kilgore’s account: Evan Kilgore, a political commentator and ambassador with Turning Point USA, tweeted, “WTF: I was just locked out of my account for 3 tweet ‘violations.’ One of the alleged ‘violations’ was for a tweet... that was over 2 years old.... that I'VE ALREADY BEEN GIVEN A STRIKE OVER. Twitter still sucks.” In the same tweet, Kilgore posted purported screenshots of the prior tweets and Twitter’s reasons for why the tweets prompted the account lock. According to the screenshots, Kilgore said in one tweet, “This mentally deranged cat will not stop tweeting about me. I really think I broke it.” Kilgore also claimed to have already gotten penalized for this tweet. 

Also according the screenshots, Kilgore tweeted, “BLM and ANTIFA are a cancer to society. Sorry not sorry,” and “Transgenderism doesn’t exist because you can’t change your biological gender. You can cut off your body parts, wear makeup, dress differently, and identify as whatever, but you can’t change your chromosomes. It’s actually science.” Twitter claimed that Kilgore was “Violating our rules against hateful conduct. You may not promote violence against, threaten, or harass other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease.” Neither of these tweets, however, contain any threats or incitement to violence. At the time of writing, Kilgore’s account appeared to be unlocked, and the tweets had been deleted from his feed, a requirement that Twitter placed in order to unlock his account.
