YouTube restricts video from conservative award winning filmmaker Errol Webber: A video created by Oscar-winning conservative filmmaker Errol Webber, titled "100 Reasons to Recall Gavin Newsom," was restricted by YouTube for supposedly containing inappropriate content. YouTube currently requires users to click through two interstitials, warning of inappropriate content in the video, before being able to view Webber's short film. "This video may be inappropriate for some users," the video's first interstitial reads. If clicked through, the video's second interstitial reads, "The following content has been identified by the YouTube community as inappropriate or offensive to some audiences." Videos that YouTube restricts can sometimes become "unavailable" for users who have "Restricted Mode" turned on, according to YouTube's guidelines on how restricted mode works. One way this occurs is when a restricted video is simultaneously "age-restricted," states YouTube's guidelines on restricted videos. "Age-restricted videos are not viewable to users who are under 18 years of age or signed out," reads YouTube's policy guidelines on age-restricted videos. "Also, age-restricted videos cannot be watched on most third-party websites." Webber's video is indeed also age-restricted, so besides the two warnings attempting to compel users not to watch it, the video's reach is also limited. Additionally, users with "Restricted Mode" turned on cannot see the comments on Webber's video, according to YouTube's guidelines on how restricted mode works.
