Claiming it's 'misleading,' Twitter places warning label on tweet from epidemiologist Martin Kulldorff: Martin Kulldorf is professor of medicine at Harvard University and an epidemiologist with expertise in detecting and monitoring infectious disease outbreaks and vaccine safety evaluations. He is also one of three public health experts who spearheaded the Great Barrington Declaration, a document signed by over 42,000 medical practitioners that criticized widely accepted COVID-19 pandemic response strategies, and their subsequent effects on children, the working class and the poor. In response to a tweet asking Kulldorff if young people, or people who have already been infected, still need a COVID-19 vaccine Kulldorff responded: "No. Thinking that everyone must be vaccinated is as scientifically flawed as thinking that nobody should. COVID vaccines are important for older high-risk people, and their care-takers. Those with prior natural infection do not need it. Nor children." Kulldorff's response earned his quote tweet a warning label that stated, "This Tweet is misleading. Learn why health officials recommend a vaccine for most people." The label could be clicked on to present the user with a bounty of information claiming "COVID-19 vaccines are extremely effective at preventing serious illness and deaths, trials show." Users also reported that they were prevented from "liking" Kulldorf's tweet.
