TikTok removes video highlighting Kamala Harris lies during debate: Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report noted that a video his team compiled exposing lies told by Kamala Harris and the moderators during the presidential debate was flagged by TikTok and removed. Rubin provided screenshots of two different notices he reportedly received from TikTok about the video on his X account. The video was a compilation of clips from the debate, showing Harris and the moderators saying something, followed by a "lie counter" being displayed on screen along with evidence of the lie, and clips of Donald Trump refuting the lie during the debate. From the screenshots provided, it seems that the video was immediately flagged as "Misinformation" by TikTok. After appealing the decision to remove the video, Rubin received another notice claiming that the video "can't be restored," this time citing the platform's "Synthetic and Manipulated Media" guideline. However, the video does appear on the TikTok account for The Rubin Report at the time of this report, so it appears TikTok later changed its mind on the matter and restored the video after all.
