Twitter removed a user's tweet defending Kyle Rittenhouse: Eighteen-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse was charged with first-degree murder after he killed two men and injured another purportedly in self-defense during one of the 2020 Antifa riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin. A user tweeted "@nypost Kyle Rittenhouse did nothing wrong," according to a user-provided screenshot. The photo shows that Twitter removed the user's tweet claiming that he violated its "rules against glorifying violence." The notice further explained that Twitter prohibits "content that condones or celebrates acts of violence that could promote imitation of the act," and "glorifying the perpetrators of such violence," according to the screenshot. The user claims her account was locked for 12 hours which usually means the user was forced to delete the tweet and lost the ability to tweet, retweet, follow other users, or like other users' posts while the account was locked.
