Instagram censors evolutionary biologist Colin Wright for sharing a chart from a peer reviewed study: So much for following the science. According to reporting at The Daily Mail, evolutionary biologist and managing editor for Quillette Colin Wright took to Instagram to share a chart from a peer reviewed paper. The chart was labeled as coming from a study titled "Transgender Women in the Female Category of Sport: Perspectives on Testosterone Suppression and Performance Advantage." The caption that was under the chart explained that it was "taken from a study published in Medicine & Sports in Sports & Exercise, which tested if the International Olympic Committee's guidelines for transgender athletes eliminated the performance advantage male athletes bodies give them naturally." The chart clearly indicated that biological males maintain a performance advantage over biological females even after years of hormone therapy. For posting this chart, Wright suffered the wrath of Instagram, who, according to Wright, labeled it as "hate speech" and deleted it.
