Twitter user suspended for explaining that 'TERF' is a slur: A Twitter user was in a couple of discussions with other Twitter users and decided to explain why 'TERF' is not an acceptable term. The user tweeted the following: "TERF is a misogynistic slur often directed at lesbians for refusing to consider TW (males) as sexual partners. We're told 'Dirty dyke TERF go chock on a dick' & worse. When you use the slur TERF, you're aligning yourself with THIS. Take the L out of your name. You're no ally!" And "I suggest you delete this. TERF is a misogynistic slur often directed at lesbians for refusing to consider trans' lesbians' (males) as sexual partners. We're told 'Dirty dyke TERF go chock on a dick' & worse. When you call people TERFs, you're aligning yourself with THIS." Twitter claimed these tweets violated its rules "against abuse and harassment," and suspended the user's account over it for an undetermined amount of time.
