Chuck Dolish

Twitter suspends Chuck Dolish for seven days: Replying to a thread, the user tweeted, “I go 7 days for this comment, referring to an upcoming mini series about Anne Boleyn! @TwitterSupport.” The user also included a screenshot of an email, which contained Twitter’s response to a prior tweet. According to the screenshot, the original tweet said, “Let me spoil it, she gets beheaded!” regarding the Anne Boleyn TV show. In addition to suspending the user for 7 days, it seems that Twitter removed the tweet. The user appealed, but Twitter stood by its decision. Twitter’s response, also according to the screenshot, said the user was “violating our rules against abusive behavior.” However, Twitter did not say what specifically in the tweet violated the policies. Although the Twitter Rules stipulate, “You may not share abusive content, engage in the targeted harassment of someone, or incite other people to do so,” the user’s tweet contained no such content. The tweet simply stated a historical fact. The user gained their account back, but the original tweet is still not visible at the time of writing.
