Twitter suspends Australian Christian conservative news site over article calling the censorship of Ivermectin the 'Crime of the Century': Caldron Pool, a Christian conservative digital news outlet from Australia, was temporarily suspended by Twitter and forced to delete a tweet about one of its articles calling the censorship of information surrounding Ivermectin as a treatment for COVID-19 the "Crime of the Century." Twitter notified Caldron Pool that its tweet, which included the link to the article and a quote from it, violated the platform's "policy on spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19." Ivermectin has been a hotly debated treatment, which has been argued about between the right and the left ever since former President Donald Trump advocated for alternative treatments to COVID-19. "In order to protect the public health, dissent about public health policy must be censored," Bret Weinstein, evolutionary biologist and host of the Dark Horse Podcast, sarcastically tweeted in response to Twitter's censorship. "For that to work discussion of the censorship must also be censored."
