Twitter community adds context to Breaking911’s tweet: According to Townhall, Biden claimed in a speech, “Made it harder for people to buy stabilize braces. Put a pistol on a brace, it turns into a gun — makes it more — you can have a higher-caliber weapon, higher-caliber bullet coming out of that gun.” The news organization Breaking911 tweeted Biden’s statement: “BIDEN: ‘Put a pistol on a brace, it turns into a gun — makes it more — you can have a higher-caliber weapon, higher-caliber bullet coming out of that gun!’” The tweet also contains a video clip of Biden’s speech. Twitter added a warning label to the post. The warning says, “Readers added context they thought people might want to know. A stabilizing brace does not in any way affect the ballistics of a pistol, for example altering the caliber of the weapon. A brace attaches to the weapon and one's forearm allowing for greater control over the weapon.” The label essentially explains that Biden’s claims are incorrect.
