A right-wing GoFundMe campaign raising funds for protective vests, developed in response to a left-wing campaign raising money for protective vests, was shut down because there were questions about the authenticity of the campaign. The right-wing campaign was set up with similar wording as the left-wing campaign, but espoused a right-wing perspective. It was created to prove the political bias exerted on users by GoFundMe.
