Instagram fact-checked a video posted by pro-life activist, Abby Johnson: Johnson posted a video originally made by TikTok user Kayleelaytonyt that reportedly showed video of Target's 2023 pride line of children's clothes and merchandise while at the store. The video showed pride onesies for babies, children's books like “Glad you came out” and “I’m so happy that you’re queer,” and swimsuits that had a "light binding affect" (for women who transition to being men) and were "tuck friendly." Instagram fact-checked the video and placed an interstitial filter over it that users had to click through to view it. "False Information," the filter read. "The same information was reviewed by independent fact-checkers in another post." AFP, Check your facts and online influencers have pointed out that the tuck friendly swimsuits were actually sold in adult sizes and not children's sizes. It is unclear however whether Target placed the adult-sized merchandise in the children's section in that particular Target store.
