An internal communication from a top Food and Drug Administration official seems to confirm links between child casualties and the COVID-19 vaccines, which social media platforms aggressively censored.
Dr. Vinay Prasad, the FDA’s chief medical officer with the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research, wrote in an Friday email to staff that at least 10 children’s deaths can be definitely traced back to the COVID-19 vaccines. The email, shared by the Daily Caller, shows Prasad conceding the agency must confront its own failures. The FDA’s admission is particularly a bombshell given the extreme Big Tech censorship of COVID-19 vaccine critics online, as recorded in the Media Research Center’s unique CensorTrack database.
Prasad’s email cited an internal study by the career staff at the Office of Biostatistics and Pharmacovigilance that “found that at least 10 children have died after and because of receiving COVID-19 vaccination.”
“These deaths are related to vaccination (likely/probable/possible attribution made by staff),” he wrote. “That number is certainly an underestimate due to underreporting, and inherent bias in attribution. This safety signal has far reaching implications for Americans, the US pandemic response, and the agency itself, which I wish to discuss here.”
Prasad went on to criticize Federal healthcare agencies for having “abdicated their duty to the American people” by not using mitigation measures or acknowledging the safety signal until after extending the vaccines to boys as young as 12. Prasad urged “serious introspection and reform,” given the extremely faulty data on whether vaccines saved more children’s lives than they ended and the financial incentives behind rushing them out.
Prasad’s comments delivered an explosive blow to the very justification for Big Tech censorship. In fact, LinkedIn deleted one of Prasad’s posts in March on the vaccine topic. Prad himself accused the Microsoft-owned platform of having “removed my post with 5 reasons why mRNA vaccines technology should be deprioritized for NIH funded [sic].”
Facebook, Twitter and YouTube have also engaged in similar crackdowns.
Facebook fact-checked Twitter Files journalist Michael Shellenberger in October 2023 for posting an article that cited a study in the medical journal The Lancet titled “Covid Vaccine mRNA In Breast Milk Shows CDC Lied About Safety.”
In October 2022, Twitter suspended Dr. Peter McCullough for suggesting that COVID-19 vaccines could injure children. In July 2022, the platform permanently suspended Dr. Mary Talley Bowden for posting, “127 deaths reported to VAERS in children 6 months to 17 years. Pull them off the market. #StoptheShots.”
In June 2021, YouTube suspended Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) and deleted a video of his speech criticizing government COVID-19 responses and treatments.
In May 2021, Twitter locked epidemiologist Dr. Martin Kulldorff’s account for suggesting that lockdowns and vaccines had deleterious effects on children. As recently as September 2025, LinkedIn deleted a post from Dr. Wafik S. El-Deiry about a Japanese study showing repeated COVID-19 vaccination increased excess deaths.
