Twitter censors epidemiologist Martin Kulldorff's tweet about masks: Martin Kulldorf is professor of medicine at Harvard University and an epidemiologist with expertise in detecting and monitoring infectious disease outbreaks and vaccine safety evaluations. He is also one of three public health experts who spearheaded the Great Barrington Declaration, a document signed by over 42,000 medical practitioners that criticized widely accepted COVID-19 pandemic response strategies and their subsequent effects on children, the working class and the poor. He recently tweeted something about masks that Twitter did not like. He said: "Naively fooled to think that masks would protect them, some older high-risk people did not socially distance properly, and some died from #COVID19 because of it. Tragic. Public health officials/scientists must always be honest with the public." According to a screenshot of a censorship notice, Twitter found that this violated its "policy on spreading misleading and potentially harmful information related to COVID-19." As a result, Kulldorff's account was locked until he deleted the tweet. It is unclear if his account was restricted after the tweet was deleted as often happens, though it is likely since he did not tweet for at least two days after the incident.
