New data just revealed that Google ratcheted up its election interference efforts using its “Go Vote” reminders in seven pivotal swing states.

Research psychologist Dr. Robert Epstein heads America’s Digital Shield, which documents Big Tech’s efforts to manipulate individuals and what they see online without accountability. According to Dr. Epstein, America’s Digital Shield has revealed “alarming discrepancies in how Google sends out voting reminders to liberals, conservatives, and moderates,” with the Big Tech platform displaying an overt pro-liberal bias in its “Go Vote” Reminders the week before Election Day 2024. Google, according to Epstein’s data, sent more reminders overall to liberals than to moderates or conservatives, and is even displaying particular bias in swing states.

MRC Free Speech America Vice President Dan Schneider explained the seriousness of Google’s election interference. “Google has been actively engaging in electioneering for years, but refusing to report its expenditures as required by law. This willful refusal is an obvious crime, the kind that should put Sundar Pichai behind bars,” Schneider said, referring to the CEO of Alphabet, the parent company of Google.

Schneider continued, “The left is already signaling who they will blame if Trump wins the election: Big Tech, for not censoring enough. The truth is that Big Tech has been all in for Kamala. And Google has been at the head of the class, helping her by burying Donald Trump’s campaign website, forcing users to read propaganda stories about Kamala and Trump, and now doing ‘get-out-the-vote’ work for her.”

On Nov. 4, Dr. Epstein posited that Google “is using at least 7 powerful techniques to shift votes in those states - including partisan go-vote reminders - that will guarantee that Harris wins at least 5 of the 7 swing states. Nationwide, they are guaranteeing her a win margin minimum between 6 and 8 million votes.”

Just two days earlier, Dr. Epstein began sounding the alarm. He posted on X Nov. 2, “Attention Voters! America's Digital Shield has just released CRUCIAL data on ‘Go Vote Reminders’ from 7 pivotal swing states! Our latest findings at americasdigitalshield.com reveal alarming discrepancies in how Google sends out voting reminders to liberals, conservatives, and moderates.” Epstein included a screenshot showing his team’s data quantifying Google’s election interference.

The data has since been updated through Nov. 5, showing that on average, Google sent out more “Go Vote” reminders to liberals than to conservatives in every single swing state over the last seven days, including election day as of 4:30 p.m. EST.

Oct. 31 was the last day for early voting in multiple states, including the swing states of Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada, and Arizona. With the exception of Georgia, Google sent out fewer “Go Vote” reminders to conservatives than to liberals in every swing state on that date.

The contrast in Arizona shows the stark contrast between conservative and liberal users who were sent “Go Vote” reminders by Google with about 69% more liberals receiving reminders than conservatives from Oct. 30 - Nov. 5.

This is not the first time Google has been caught interfering in elections. Epstein has conducted similar studies since 2016 and MRC Free Speech America has repeatedly exposed Google for election interference. In fact, MRC researchers compiled 41 times that Google interfered in elections since 2008.

Epstein’s recent posts seem to show yet more egregious Google election interference, not much unlike the search engine bias favoring President Joe Biden and Kamala Harris, and especially harmful to former President Donald Trump, repeatedly exposed through MRC Free Speech America research and analysis.
