A Soros-backed district attorney and fifteen-minute legacy media hero will have more time to spend on MSNBC.
Former Florida State Attorney Andrew Warren announced Tuesday on an X (formerly Twitter) video that he would not seek reelection following his removal by Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL). Warren — who has been promoted by legacy media after refusing to prosecute abortion cases — whined that DeSantis “shot democracy in the middle of our courthouse and he has gotten away with it.”
Warren went on to claim that he would be unceremoniously thrown out of office a second time if he won reelection and complained that, “DeSantis broke our democracy, and it’s too fragile and too important to let him do it again.”
It's a tough break for his cheerleaders in the legacy media. In 2023, the Soros-backed prosecutor was repeatedly invited on MSNBC including appearances on “Alex Wagner Tonight, The Beat with Ari Melber and Ayman. Here are some of the lowlights.

In a May 30, 2023 segment, MSNBC host Katie Phang ran cover for Warren. She characterized Warren’s decision to sign a pledge promising not to prosecute violations of Florida’s abortion laws as daring “to disagree [DeSantis] on abortion and transgender health care.” Phang treated Warren’s public promises to ignore the law and refuse to do his job as a free speech issue.
MSNBC hoar Alex Wagner twice acknowledged that Warren was “refusing to enforce restrictions” and “refused to press charges” based on his political preferences in an Aug. 9, 2023 segment. However, she never challenged Warren on his decision to put himself above the law. She repeatedly invited Wagner to expound on his grievances against DeSantis and others.
Beyond this, Wagner mentioned that both Soros-backed Warren and former Soros-backed Florida State Attorney Monique Worrell support progressive criminal justice reform, but only mentioned Soros while quoting DeSantis.
MSNBC host Ayman Mohyeldin introduced Warren on Aug. 12, 2023, as the “duly elected Hillsborough county state attorney,” and also failed to challenge him for refusing to enforce laws. Instead, Ayman hit Warren with this baffling question: “Is Ron DeSantis an authoritarian?”
Soros has spent at least $35 million pushing the election of radical left-wing prosecutors like Monique Worrell and admitted to doing so in a 2022 article.
In 2019, Warren benefited from a free trip to Portugal from the group Fair and Just Prosecution. That same year, Soros gave a $10,000 donation to the Tides Center to “support the participation of Fair and Just Prosecution, a project of the Grantee, in the International Harm Reduction conference,” which took place in Portugal. Notably, “Harm Reduction” is an absurd euphemism for being soft on crime.
Fair and Just Prosecution is the same organization that circulated the lawless pro-abortion pledge that Warren signed. In 2020, Warren also won the endorsement of the Soros-funded group Color of Change, which received $3,000,000 in 2020 from Soros.
