The New York Post editorial board is sounding the alarm bells on leftist billionaire George Soros’ dangerous political influence based in part on research conducted by MRC Business.

The Post’s Jan. 26 editorial didn’t pull any punches: “George Soros is the most dangerous man in America — here’s why.” The editorial cited Post op-ed by Bongino Report Content Manager Matt Palumbo regarding MRC Business’ extensive research into Soros spending an ungodly fortune to purchase influence in global media to amplify his leftist messaging on crime, climate radicalism, abortion, racial politics, Marxist economics and anti-Americanism.

Palumbo’s citation of MRC Business’ work is part of a five-part investigation he did for the Post into Soros’ massive political power, such as spending a whopping $40 million towards electing leftist, soft-on-crime district attorneys across America.

“The Post has spent the past week showing that 92-year-old finance titan George Soros is the most dangerous man in America,” the newspaper wrote.

In summary, MRC Business revealed how Soros spent $131 million into 253 news and activist media groups across the world, with some of the outlets in particular wielding enormous power over global narratives (e.g. Project Syndicate, openDemocracy).

In addition, MRC identified 54 figures with prominent roles in major media outlets connected to Soros through organizations that he funds. The prominent Soros-tied media personalities identified by the MRC included CNN Chief International Anchor Christiane Amanpour, NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt and Washington Post executive editor Sally Buzzbee.

Holt and Amanour, in particular, have openly defended Soros from his critics. The Post editorial board zeroed in on some of MRC Business’ highlights:

But what’s buying DA offices without buying media personalities to keep everyone on message that the crime surge isn’t happening? Soros’ nonprofit empire counts topline journos at NBC, the Washington Post, and Reuters as members of its various boards. He’s a huge giver to ProPublica and to NPR and spent at least $131 million from 2016 to 2020 to back literally hundreds of activist media groups that promote his lefty views on crime, gender and capitalism — as well as handily stepping in to dismiss all criticism of the billionaire as somehow being anti-Semitic.

In the Post’s summary, “if Soros were a right-winger, his name would be national news every week.” The newspaper continued: “But [Soros’] politics line up with those of most journos and academics (though not those of most Americans). So the massive impact of this one man and his money on American society goes largely unreported — or called ‘conspiracy theory.’”

The newspaper concluded by making a direct call to action for readers to stand against Soros’ leftist, anti-American agenda:

Soros has spent a fortune spreading his influence through US politics, media and society and leaving us all worse off, and has set up the infrastructure to keep doing so even after he dies. So no, this is not a conspiracy theory. It’s a truth worth pointing out, and one worth resisting.

Soros once told The New York Times in 2019 that he was working to “bend” the arc of history “in the right direction.” He means it.
