The big television networks and national newspapers failed to cover an outrageous assault on a Michigan church, during which homosexuals, enraged about the voter rejection of same-sex marriage in three states, shouted obscenities and necked with each other at the pulpit.

On Sunday, November 9, a pro-gay activist group called Bash Back! staged a protest inside Mount Hope Church in Lansing, Michigan, shouting, “Jesus is a Homo!” and throwing condoms and pamphlets inside the sanctuary.

Since Californians passed Proposition 8, which effectively banned same-sex marriage in the Golden State, gay protesters across the country have received heavy, favorable coverage from national news outlets. However, major networks such as ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX and CNN posted no original stories about the offensive display in Michigan last Sunday. The New York Times, USA Today, Los Angeles Times and Washington Post ignored the incident.  Only local news outlets like NBC Affiliate NBC25 in Michigan and conservative news outlets, such as World Net Daily, covered the story.

According to its Myspace page, Bash Back! identifies itself as a pro-homosexual, pro-anarchy group dedicated to “eradicating heternormativity.”
